SPEAKERS
Dr. Elizabeth Homerosky, DVM, Veterinary Agri-Health Services
Dr. Elizabeth R. Homerosky, was born and raised on a commercial cow-calf operation in southern Ohio. Her interest in beef production led her to Ohio State University, where she completed a bachelor’s of science degree in agriculture in 2008 and a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine in 2012.
In 2013, she moved to Canada and began graduate school at the University of Calgary. There she completed a master’s degree and clinical residency, becoming board certified in beef cattle practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Dr. Homerosky joined Veterinary Agri-Health Services, a cow-calf and feedlot consulting practice near Airdrie, Alberta, in 2016 and has been a partner since 2019. In 2021, she was honored to receive the American Association of Bovine Practitioners’ James A. Jarrett Award for Young Leaders.
Dr. Homerosky is also the co-operator of Blue Rose Simmentals and raises purebred Simmental and commercial SimAngus cattle near Cremona, Alberta.
Stephen Hughes, Beef Producer, Chinook Ranch
Stephen Hughes is a third-generation rancher from the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains in Southern Alberta. He is an owner and operator of Chinook Ranch Ltd., near Longview, along with his partner Georgina, his father James and his daughters Kayla, Josie and Erin.
Stephen has been an Environmental Stewardship Award winner from the Alberta Beef Producers, McDonald’s Flagship Farmer for Canada, a longtime leader of the Longview 4-H Beef Club, and a previous mentor in the BCRC Beef Researcher Mentorship Program.

All you need to do is register beforehand, and about 5-10 minutes before the webinar is scheduled to begin, click the link you were provided when you registered. Then turn up your computer speakers or call the phone number provided. That’s it! Sit back and enjoy.
As a participant, you can anonymously answer polls and surveys and will have the opportunity to ask questions near the end of the webinar.
